Scotland Team Mascots

WSDCS were proud to be a part of the recent Scotland Deaf FA vs Wales Deaf FA game at St Anthony’s Park, Glasgow. They asked us to work alongside them by inviting our children to be mascots for this big day! We jumped at the chance to give our children this memorable experience. To show our support, WSDCS sponsored the children’s full football strips and each child got to wear them on match day.

As the children walked out to the pitch with the players, the piper was blasting our national anthem. It was a very proud moment for us all. Scotland were trailing behind 1-0 with Wales until the final few minutes of the game when Scotland equalised and then went on to score the winner to make it 2-1 for Scotland! The children were ecstatic!

What a proud moment for us all to treasure!
