A message to our supporters

Following the events of the weekend, we have seen an incredible increase in donations and support for us at WSDCS.

We want to take a moment to thank everyone within the WSDCS family for coming together and showing such love, kindness and support; not only to the family affected, but to the wider Deaf community.

Events like this truly show the good in people. 💙

Our Family Support Officers are in close contact with the affected family and continue to provide them with support during this difficult time.

A special thank you to Christy’s Readings for highlighting the discrimination and inequality that Deaf children and young people continue to face. Following her live last night, over £300 has already been raised for WSDCS. We are incredibly grateful for your support.

Thanks to the funds raised, we’ll soon be sharing a range of Deaf Awareness resources focused on hearing technologies and supporting aids.

We hope these resources will help schools, parents and children better understand the different technologies available and, most importantly, how they can support Deaf children in their education and everyday learning.
